About Us
|
Hudson Air Depot was founded to have a place to post pictures from all our trips to aviation musuems and air
shows as well as providing a showplace for our model building efforts.
|
Over the past 10 plus years we have visited 105 varied locations, from the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, UK to the
Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino CA. During these visits we have accumulated over 8,000 aircraft images of over 2,900
individual aircraft. Many of the pictures are taken of details of the aircraft that a scale modeler might find
interesting. The Photo Gallery Page has drop down indexes that will allow the visitor display pictures catergorized
by either aircraft type or by location.
|
We have been building scale models for most of our lives. I think the big attraction is not just the assembly of the
kit , but the research that we do to find out as much as we can about the airplane we are trying to represent. I think
our quest for knowledge is evident in the 29 articles that are posted on the Scale Model Gallery Page.
|
As part of our quest for research materiels we have accumulated over 1,800 individual magazines and books. The article
titles in these publications have been listed in a database that can be serched on the Model Magazine Database page.
Hopefully if you are looking for source of information for your next model project you can find some assistance here.
Or you can contact us to help in your rerearch.
